Our Story

A fresh start after five generations…

We purchased the Big House in the fall of 2020. It had previously been owned by the same extended family for the past 120 years, and was host to decades of blissful children’s play, family gatherings and of course, sunset cocktails on the porch. The main house, called the Big House by the prior owners, is classic Shingle Style architecture, built in 1900 as a summer home. The Cottage (or, White House as it was known) was built as a playhouse for the children of the Big House; in the 1940s it was renovated to be a full summer cottage in its own right with bunk rooms, a master bedroom, kitchen, and bathrooms added.

A family of six, we live full time in Cambridge, MA but are in Little Compton on weekends and during vacations. Isabella is a designer and contractor (www.milkandhoneygroup.com) and renovated these homes meticulously to be comfortably chic. Everything was refreshed and renovated for you to relax and enjoy your vacation.
